Display racks can be categorized by style into floor-standing racks, magnetic levitation racks, tabletop racks, hanging racks, irregularly shaped racks, themed display stands, and rotating racks. They can also be categorized by material into paper racks, metal racks, acrylic racks, plastic racks, PVC foam board racks, composite material racks, and titanium alloy racks. Finally, they can be categorized by purpose into exhibition racks, clothing racks, and food racks.

Door-type display racks, also known as outdoor arch-shaped racks, are constructed with galvanized iron pipes and a painted finish. The base is available in iron and water-filled versions, and comes in standard, thickened, and extra-thick types. Standard sizes are 60cm x 160cm, 80cm x 180cm, and 120cm x 200cm. X-banners are advertising display items with an X-shaped support at the back, typically 60cm x 160cm and 80cm x 180cm. Roll-up banners are typically 60cm x 160cm and 80cm x 200cm, with custom widths available. Pop-up display racks are a common exhibition and display equipment used in trade shows and corporate meetings. Their main body is made of aluminum alloy, making them easy to disassemble and install, and reusable.

In retail settings, modular, reusable display rack systems, through the free combination of shelves and frame structures, can be used to display merchandise or transformed into interactive pop-up store installations. In art exhibitions, transformable display racks, by adjusting their height, tilt angle, and connection methods, can adapt to different media such as painting, sculpture, or digital art.
